Nearly two dozens flood search and rescue team members are returning to Lee County today after a three-day deployment in DeSoto County.
Florida Task Force 6 and Charlotte County Light Technical Rescue Team oversaw all search and rescue operations in Southwest Florida.
Personnel provide specialized rescues that involve flood/swiftwater, structural collapse, low to high angle rope, trench, confined space, vehicle machinery, and large animal rescues. They deployed after Hurricane Irma left a swath of flooding across central and Southwest Florida.
